I Admit it, I'm Late.
Assalamua'alaikum & greetings, friends and dear lecturers.
I admit, I'm late for submitting my reflection on last week's superb lecture by Miss Elaine. Sorry for the delay, but guess what, there is a lot of important things that I learnt last week, and among that is the reality of the real world that we yet to discover with our own eyes. Our life in university is enough putting us all in the comfort zone. We thought it was way out of comfort zone since we need to do have our own initiatives, compared to when we study at boarding school n previous colleges. In fact, in university life, we are still in the comfort zone. We have yet to experience the heated "cold war" in a company, between employees and bosses, between a company and its competitors, between share holders and share holders, between board of directors and board of directors, and also between suppliers & customers. =D
These we found out (thanks to Miss Elaine) last week, when Miss Elaine gave us tasks and divide us into parties (suppliers, top management, customers, employees, investors, competitors). Our task, with the given topic/problem, is to lay the fault on other parties. It was fun. =) I have only one word to describe it, which my friends used to say, 'best'. Besides fun, I learnt another thing, apart from the mock argument and heated discussion between parties, in the last round, Miss Elaine highlighted that we are laying fault on other parties until the end. That is the reality now. The reality that we have no choice but to face it in future.
Then, Miss Elaine ask us to do it a bit different this time. Instead of endless arguing, she asked us to find alternatives to work with all parties. Try to create an all win - win situation. Okay I'm going to highlight this, a WIN - WIN SITUATION. That's it. I knew it. That's the solution. =)
I feel happy because of what, because I am already practising to create a win-win situation anywhere and any time in need.
